In nursing school I knew two things for sure: no OB and no pediatrics. Everything else was fair game. I ended up in pediatrics because sometimes you take the job that’s hiring. I accidentally fell in love with it. My patients and their families showed me resilience, humor, and grit like I’d never witnessed before. I was hooked.

In 2011 I gave birth to twins who were born prematurely. Becoming a parent has been an eye-opening, humbling, beautiful journey. Navigating our way through NICU, developmental pediatricians, and therapists has grown both my knowledge and my empathy. I’ve become an advocate for early intervention because I’ve seen it change lives and families, my own included.

I live in Oregon, with my husband and our kiddos. In 2018 and 2020 we added two more babies to the mix. These four are the loves of our lives. Many days, my world feels like it’s running on caffeine and chaos. Know this: I am in the thick of parenting right along with you - from the 2 a.m. sick-kid-wake-ups, to the basketball tournaments, to the seemingly endless appointments. This season of life feels both more exhausting and more deeply purposeful than I ever could have imagined. My children are my greatest teachers.

I am excited to journey together! I’m looking forward to learning from one another as we help the kids in our lives to thrive and to be their best selves.
